It’s a new School Year!

Welcome back Parents! We hope that the summer has been enjoyable for you and your family! As we get ready to start this new school year, we ask for your help. As a parent of a MS 67 student, there are three very important things the school needs from you: your time, your input and your financial support.

Through the year, there are a number of school events where the help of the parents is necessary and very much appreciated, events such as Photo Day, Book Fair, and the Arista Induction Ceremony to name a few. There are PTA functions that also need your time and energy such as Teacher Appreciation Day, our monthly meetings, and our essential fundraisers.

In addition, your input is extremely important for the enrichment of our children’s learning experience. Parental participation in the School Leadership Team (SLT), the Safety Committee, and our monthly meetings are a perfect opportunity for parents to bring their ideas and concerns to the administration. The monthly meetings also provide a social base for parents to get to know each other as well as to be informed of their child’s education.

Our fundraisers provide much needed funds for a variety of projects. The PTA supports school clubs and sports, and programs such as Peer Mediation. We also provide school essentials like the school planner for each student at the beginning of the year. These are just a few examples of how the PTA funds are used to enhance your child’s school experience. Your contributions make all this possible.

Our first PTA Meeting will be held on September 11, 2008 at 7:00 PM in the auditorium. Joins us and learn important information about the new school year, meet new parents, join some of the PTA committees!

We hope to see you at our first meeting on Thursday, September 11, 2008.
