Maria presented the current income/expenses and present balance.
Bonnie asked the members to look at the projected budget for 2009-2010 and suggested that Line Item 16 now read as Student Clubs. By doing so, the money will represent any afterschool activity to provide greater equity. Mrs. McGrath further explained that some of our sports programs will still be supported by the DOE via the CHAMPS program. This will now allow for the PTA monies to support additional activities such as the Science Olympiad, Chess Club, etc. Bonnie asked if anyone had any questions. None were raised. A motion was made to change Line Item 16 to now read Student Club Programs. A member made a motion to change the name of Line Item 16; it was seconded by another member and approved by the majority present.
At 8:00pm, Lori Butera, the Nominating Committee chairperson presented the new slate for the 2009-2010 MS 67 PTA Executive Board. Lori thanked Karen Dinegar and Maria Mo for their assistance on the committee. Lori opened the floor to any further nominations.
